Overview

Polyetherimide is an amorphous polymer that ranges from amber to transparent in color. First introduced by General Electric (GE) in 1982 under the name Ultem. It is a versatile thermoplastic used in many different industries.

SCIENGY is the first to realize localization of polyetherimide (PEI) resins provider, focus on special coloring, and glass fiber reinforced, carbon fiber reinforced and other series of PEI compounds in collaboration with VALIANT in China. Offering special color-matched PEI resins, including Blue, Green, Aquamarine, Beige gray, Purplish Red, Black, Amber and other specifications of colored PEI resins, and wide variety of standard and easy flow glass-fiber reinforced, carbon fiber reinforced, mineral-filled, PTFE wear-resistant, PEI/PPS alloys and other special functional PEI compounds, to try to provide customers with total solutions.

● Heat resistant

Good long-term thermal stability, long-term use temperature can reach 170 °C

● Chemical resistance

Excellent radiation resistance and chemical resistance

● UV resistance

Good resistance to UV light, High weatherability and good hydrolytic stability

● Flame retardant

Natural flame retardant (94-V-0 flammability rating), low smoke generation, low toxicity, meet the requirement of ABD, FAR and NBS

● Electrical properties

Outstanding electrical properties with stable dielectric constant and dielectric loss

● Dimensional stability

Excellent dimensional stability, low and stable CLTE over a wide temperature range

● Mechanical properties

Excellent mechanical strength and modulus, high strength and stiffness at high temperatures
