04 25,2023
The 35th International Exhibition on Plastics and Rubber Industries CHINAPLAS 2023 came to a successful close on April 20th. Despite the economic downturn affecting various industries due to the pandemic for three years, the event still attracted numerous exhibitors and visitors. The number of attendees on the first day alone exceeded 69,240, a growth of 54.85% compared to the first day in Guangzhou before the pandemic in 2019, which showed the tremendous popularity of the event, with a record-breaking total of 248,222 visitors over the four days. The eyes of the global rubber and plastics industry were focused on this event, which was a feast of learning, sharing, and collaboration. As a professional manufacturer of specialty engineering materials, Sciengy introduced new products that attracted a large number of customers to stop by the booth for consultation and exchange.

Sciengy's tracking resistant high CTI (Comparative Tracking Index) polyphenylene sulfide (PPS) modified material was among the new products introduced. The material employs a new patented modification technology, achieving a CTI greater than 600V and the highest insulation level of PLC0. Compared to conventional modified PPS materials, it has a significantly improved CTI, offering better insulation and arc resistance. The tracking resistant high CTI polyphenylene sulfide composite material has a wide range of applications, particularly in high-speed railways, new energy vehicles, IGBT power modules, and high-insulation relays in the electrical and electronic fields. Its high voltage insulation level enhances product performance stability and ensures circuit safety and reliability.
Furthermore, Sciengy's tracking resistant high CTI polyphenylene sulfide composite material boasts a promising outlook in future development trends. With the continuous advancement of power electronics technology, the demand for high-performance insulation materials is constantly increasing, and tracking resistant PPS composite materials are among the essential materials to meet this requirement. This high CTI product has obtained the invention patent authorization from the National Intellectual Property Administration with the patent number: ZL2018 1 0866394.7, the UL Yellow Card certification E493853, the EN45545-2: 2020, and R23 smoke toxicity test.
At the same time, Sciengy introduced the new domestic polyetherimide (PEI) material together with our business partners Valiant and G-tureway for the first time. Polyetherimide (PEI) is a high-performance thermoplastic engineering plastic with excellent high-heat stability, mechanical properties, and electrical performance, which is widely used in aerospace, automotive, electronics, medical devices, environmental engineering, etc., boasting a very promising development prospect.

With excellent product quality and sincere and rigorous attitude, Sciengy has attracted the attention of exhibitors and participants from all over the world. Sciengy will continue to work hard and strive to become a worldwide professional manufacturer of specialty engineering materials.
